APPM Conference June 2026
This June, Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas (BHS) Prevention Staff proudly attended the APPM Conference, joining prevention professionals from across Texas for several days of learning, collaboration, and recognition. The conference provided an opportunity for staff to strengthen their knowledge, share best practices, and celebrate the outstanding work being done to promote healthier communities.
A highlight of this year’s conference was the recognition of several BHS team members who were nominated in various award categories, showcasing the dedication and impact of our prevention professionals.
We are especially proud to celebrate two award winners who exemplify excellence in prevention:
- Daniel Rodriguez, Prevention Resource Center 11 (PRC11), was honored with the Tobacco Coordinator of the Year award in recognition of his exceptional leadership, commitment, and contributions to tobacco prevention efforts throughout the region.
- A Valley Salud team member was recognized as the Rising Star of the Year, celebrating their passion, innovation, and outstanding commitment to advancing prevention initiatives early in their career.
These achievements reflect the dedication, hard work, and passion of our Prevention Team as they continue to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. We congratulate all of our staff members who were nominated and extend a special congratulations to our award recipients on this well-deserved recognition.
Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas remains committed to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and advancing prevention through education, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. We are honored to have such exceptional professionals representing our organization.
